Conversion rate

Conversion

Definition

Conversion rate is the percentage of visitors who complete a target action: conversions divided by visitors, times 100. If 1,000 people visit and 30 sign up, the page converts at 3 percent. It is the base metric of funnel performance.

The number only means something with a defined action and population. “Site-wide conversion rate” blends pricing visits with blog skimmers; per-page, per-source rates are where decisions live. Organic pricing traffic converting at 6 percent while paid converts at 1 says more than any average.

Watch denominators when comparing: a rate can “improve” because low-intent traffic fell away. Pair conversion rate with absolute conversions so wins are real.

How Savra puts it to work

Savra tracks conversion rates from your live GA4 data by page and source, and its conversion domain works the pages where the rate lags the traffic quality.

People also ask

What is the difference between conversion rate and click-through rate?

CTR measures who clicked toward the action; conversion rate measures who completed it. A great CTR with a poor conversion rate points to a landing page problem.

Why did my conversion rate drop?

Check traffic mix first: new low-intent sources dilute the rate without anything breaking. Then check the funnel for new friction (forms, load time, price changes).
